MLK Day 2012

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said,

“Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve.”

Today we honor his memory with a day of service at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy at Mori Point in Pacifica, California.  We’ll be working to plant native plants and weed invasive plants in order to help rebuild wetlands and grasslands. Our work to restore both of these ecosystems will help save two threatened and one endangered species that depend on Mori Point for their survival.

If you’re looking for ways to give back to the community today, check out listings through the Volunteer Center of Silicon Valley or the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County.
