Last year, City Year partnered with Goodjoe, a community-based t-shirt company with a passion for doing good, to run a design contest to promote City Year’s mission as well as raise funds to provide critically needed services to some of San Jose’s most underserved children and youth.
City Year’s contest design theme was,
“Harnessing the power of young people to keep at-risk students in school and on track to graduate and transform schools and communities in need.”
People from all across the country voted on submitted designs that best represented City Year’s mission. The winning design was made into a t-shirt that was made available for purchase on Goodjoe’s website. City Year earned 50 percent of the proceeds from every t-shirt sold!
This holiday season Goodjoe is re-releasing City Year’s winning design on t-shirts (in yellow AND red) as well as hooded sweatshirts, just in time for winter. Goodjoe is continuing to spread the mission of City Year and by purchasing a City Year hoodie, you can do the same.
