We want to thank all those who attended or supported our annual Starry Starry Night gala last night, honoring Synopsys Chairman & CEO, Dr. Aart de Geus. We are all deeply grateful for this community’s commitment to our students and City Year’s work in the Silicon Valley.
With the support of over 400 guests, we were able to raise over $145,000 during the course of our dinner! This investment will help City Year continue the critical work corps members perform in schools and expand our impact in the Alum Rock School District in San Jose.
Congratulations to Dr. Aart de Geus for his leadership and commitment to the Silicon Valley. After accepting the Service Leadership Award and his very own yellow jacket, Dr. de Geus addressed the City Year corps and said, “Be it at work, in the community, in your family, in your own lives, you lead, you care, and you make a difference. True leaders are people that affect positive change. In that, I admire you City Year!”
